News: MORE NEWS ABOUT EPT BERLIN ROBBERY

New information from Berlin has resulted in another arrest in relation to the European Poker Tour (EPT) Berlin robbery and re-opened the possibility that the man originally arrested and subsequently released by police over the weekend is, in fact, connected to the armed robbery.
Police first arrested a suspect, known as Mohammed B., on Friday, but he was released the next day after producing an alibi, according to the latest report in the German newspaper, Bild. However, the publication is also reporting that a new piece of evidence has police believing that Mohammed B may be tied to the crime after all. A report from the police indicated that the arresting officials found a piece of paper on Mohammed at the time of his arrest with six different names written on it. At least three of those names belong to suspects in the robbery. For now, the authorities have not taken Mohammed B into custody a second time, but the new evidence opens up the possibility that he did play a major role in the heist.
Authorities also made a second arrest in connection with the robbery. Ahmad al-Awayti approached police officers in Rosenthaler Square and told them, “I believe you are looking for me.” He was then arrested, leaving the two other named suspects in the crime, Mustafa Ucarakus and Jihad Chetwie, at-large and in hiding. The Bild is reporting that police are more concerned with apprehending Ucarkus over Chetwie, as they consider him to be a dangerous criminal with a history of violent crimes.
The first suspect apprehended Wednesday afternoon is believed to own the black Mercedes used as a getaway vehicle during the robbery. The suspect, referred to in The Bild as Vedat C, told authorities he received €40,000 for his role in the crime and intends to return all the money.

Nail the bastards for trying to take away some of the legitimacy of poker. Turning it back to the wild west saloon days.
Next they should start prosecuting the assclowns that call an all-in preflop re-raise with jack nine off and hit a straight, bad-beating your pocket aces.

I think he turned himself in because he's already known to have taken part in the robbery. Because nobody was hurt and he turned himself in he could walk here in germany. No prison just probation for maybe 2-3 years. Doesnt sound too bad imho.
damn Germany is a great place to be a criminal imho
