News: EPT Berlin ended!

With so much attention being paid to the robbery that occurred at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Berlin stop yesterday, you may have forgotten that there was a tournament going on. After the melee calmed down yesterday, the players returned to the felt to play down to a final eight and came back Saturday to play down to a champion.
American online poker pro Kevin “ImALuckSac” MacPhee held the chip lead headed into the final table and came out with all the chips as well to earn his first EPT victory at his first EPT final table.
The top two finishers are no strangers to each other and actually faced up heads-up once before at a side event during EPT London. While Tahkokallio got the best of MacPhee in England, it was MacPhee who prevailed this time around. After an epic and long back and forth battle, the two got it all-in on a 5

flop with MacPhee holding 3

to Tahkokallio’s 6

. The J
on the turn gave Tahkokallio a flush draw to go with his overs and gutshot, but the 6
on the river secured the pot and the victory for MacPhee, who banked the €1,000,000 first place prize while Tahkokallio earned €600,000 for second place.
Here are the final table results from EPT Berlin:
1st: Kevin MacPhee - €1,000,000
2nd: Ilari Tahkokallio - €600,000
3rd: Marc Inizan - €350,000
4th: Artur Wasek - €280,000
5th: Ketul Nathwani - €210,000
6th: Marcel Koller - €165,000
7th: Marko Neumann - €120,000
8th: Nico Behling - €72,000
