Priyan de Mel, a regular player at the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour won the first prize among 287 entrants, the Buy-in was £1,000 and the prizepool  £287,000.

Mel previously bubbled the final table of the GUKPT Gran Final in 2007. The £84,900 Mel picked up is actually his biggest score, tho his total tournament winnings is nearly $500k.
